To ensure the ingredients we develop are both functional and safe, BIOPOLIS, S.L. follows protocols and criteria pursuant to the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), FAO and OMS. Safety assessment includes: strain identification, antibiotic resistance, biogenic amines, D- and L-lactic formation, bile salt deconjugation, and preclinical toxicology (acute) trials in rat/mouse models.
